Why We Suggest a Pair

Guinea pigs are herd animals. Alone, many become quiet and nervous; with a friend they chat, eat better and play. That is why most of our families take two. Two girls are the easiest pair. Two boys get along well too if they have enough space. A boy and a girl will have babies, so we only pair them if the boy has been neutered.

The Starter Kit

Choose “Pair with starter kit” and the basics come with your guinea pigs: a 28 x 14 inch expandable cage, timothy hay, feeding hay, bedding hay and multivitamins, as the guinea pig’s page lists. That cage is a start. Our care guide asks for at least 120 x 60 cm of floor for two, so plan to add panels or choose a bigger cage. Delivery in Gurugram and Delhi NCR

We bring your guinea pigs ourselves, in a ventilated carrier, on your area’s delivery day, and delivery is free. Pets are booked with 5% by UPI; the rest you pay on delivery. Your First Week

1. Put the cage in a cool, bright room, away from direct sun, the kitchen and the AC’s cold blast.
2. Fill one corner with hay and keep it full all day.
3. Give a small handful of fresh coriander or capsicum each morning and evening.
4. Let them hide for the first two days. Sit nearby, talk softly and offer a leaf from your hand.
5. From day three, pick them up gently with both hands, one under the chest and one under the bottom.
