Boarding for Guinea Pigs and Rabbits
Yes, we board guinea pigs and rabbits. They stay at our farm in Sector 109 for up to 10 nights. Guinea pigs get fresh hay from The Hay Pantry, daily vegetables and vitamin C, and a cool room. Rabbits get unlimited hay, greens and time out of the cage to run. You pick your nights online and pay 5% by UPI to book.
Small Pets Need Different Boarding
Most boarding in Gurugram is for dogs, and a few places take cats. Guinea pigs and rabbits are different. They eat all day, so hay must never run out, and the RSPCA says that if a guinea pig’s eating changes or its droppings reduce or stop, it needs a vet straight away. They also overheat: the RSPCA says above 26°C a guinea pig can get heatstroke. That is why a small pet needs a cool room and someone who notices if it stops eating, which is what we offer.
The RSPCA’s first choice is a responsible person looking after your guinea pigs in their own home. If that is not possible, it says to keep grouped guinea pigs together and take familiar items such as toys. Boarding at the farm is for the times it is not.
What Your Pet Gets
- Guinea pigs: fresh hay from The Hay Pantry, daily vegetables and vitamin C, and a cool room.
- Rabbits: unlimited hay, greens and time out of the cage to run.
- A photo of your pet on WhatsApp every day.
- Someone around. Our boarding is at the same farm as our pet shop, so there is always someone around, morning to night.
We take a limited number of pets each night so every one gets attention. Holiday dates such as Diwali, Christmas and summer fill up early.
